Leadership team

Martin Thiel has been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the CENIT Group since May 1, 2026.

Martin Thiel has more than 30 years of leadership experience within CENIT AG and has played a key role in shaping the company’s development in core business areas. Among other things, he was responsible for global business units with revenue exceeding €120 million and up to 350 employees, and successfully managed nine international M&A transactions, including integration. His focus lies on the operational management of complex organizations, the strategic development of the portfolio, and the sustainable increase in profitability and growth. 

Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles in sales, service, strategy, and transformation. In these roles, he was responsible for developing new business models, strategic business planning, and portfolio and performance management in the context of digital transformation. 

Martin Thiel studied mechanical engineering with a specialization in manufacturing technology at the Saarland University of Applied Sciences and graduated with a degree in engineering. 

As CEO of the CENIT Group, Martin Thiel is responsible for global operations.

Dr. Johannes Fues joined the CENIT Group as a member of the Executive Board on July 1, 2025

Dr. Johannes Fues has many years of experience in strategic and operational management functions in the financial sector. Before joining CENIT AG, he was a member of the Management Board of Kontron AG from May 2024, where he headed the GreenTec Division with a focus on IP-based business models in the fields of solar energy and smart charging.

From 2018 to April 2024, Dr. Fues was Chief Financial Officer of KATEK SE. During this time, he implemented a successful buy-and-build strategy with 13 acquisitions and oversaw the company's listing on the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in May 2021.

Previously, he worked in management consulting, including at Dr. Wieselhuber & Partner, as well as in management positions at investment companies and industrial companies.

Dr. Johannes Fues studied business administration in Ingolstadt and in the USA.

As Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Transformation Officer (CTrO) of the CENIT Group, he is responsible for Finance and Controlling, IT, People & Culture and Transformation.
