Effective October 17, 2022, French national Axelle Mazé will assume her position as new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of international IT and software consulting provider CENIT AG. A graduate financial expert, Ms. Mazé will replace Dr. Markus Wesel, who is leaving the company to devote himself to new tasks outside CENIT Group.
In her new role as CFO of CENIT, Axelle Mazé will assume responsibility for the company’s financial/controlling, IT and HR units. Prior to her move to CENIT, Ms. Mazé successfully acted as long-standing CFO of KEONYS S.A.S., a French software implementation specialist based in Suresnes near Paris. Following the acquisition of KEONYS by CENIT AG in 2017, Ms. Mazé was additionally responsible for topics including change management and HR, and she participated substantially in CENIT’s merger and acquisitions (M&A) activities. Since July 2020, Axelle Mazé has been a member of the international leadership team of CENIT Group.
Axelle Mazé possesses around 25 years of experience as a financial analyst and CFO at internationally active businesses.
In commenting on the change, the Chairman of CENIT AG’s Supervisory Board, Rainer Koppitz, says: “In Axelle Mazé we were able to gain an in-house successor who is already deeply familiar with our solution units and closely associated with our operative business in our core markets in France and the DACH region. Since Ms. Mazé has also contributed significantly to previous acquisition activities by CENIT AG, we can rest assured that we have a strong and experienced management team to drive CENIT’s growth forward.”
CENIT CEO Peter Schneck, also affirms the decision: “In her previous activities for CENIT Group, Axelle Mazé has richly demonstrated her wide-ranging experience in the fields of finance and M&A. As CFO of CENIT, her expertise will doubtless make her a driving force in our planned path of growth and success across CENIT Group. I look forward to working with Axelle Mazé as a colleague and expert.”
CENIT’s previous CFO, Dr. Markus Wesel, will pursue a new professional challenge and in this context offered to effect the change even before the end of his contract. By amiable mutual consent, his mandate was therefore terminated effective October 15, 2022. In the name of the entire company, the Supervisory Board and Peter Schneck thank Dr. Markus Wesel for his years of service and commitment to CENIT and wish him the very best for his private and professional future.
