CENIT AG, the international IT & software provider and largest global partner of Dassault Systèmes, has maintained a presence in Romania since 2006, with business locations in Bucharest and Iasi. CENIT’s activities in Romania have focused chiefly on product lifecycle management (PLM) and application managed services. To further expand its position in Eastern Europe, CENIT now plans to acquire the Dassault Systèmes business of Romanian PLM specialist Magic Engineering at the end of Q3, 2022.
Magic Engineering SRL, established in 1993, has built a reputation for itself in Romania as a PLM specialist and value-added reseller of Dassault Systèmes products: Clients from the automotive, aerospace and industrial equipment sectors rely on the IT provider’s services, whose portfolio also extends to solutions in digital manufacturing and simulation.
Technology merger – superior solutions
For Octavian Tuturea, founder and main shareholder of Magic Engineering, the technology merger with CENIT Group represents a logical development of his business strategy: “Our clients are taking an increasingly global approach to PLM projects, setting up their value-adding processes internationally via cloud-based implementations of the 3DEXPERIENCE solutions. In CENIT, we have found a player with a strong international profile – a company with the substance to develop this technology expertise sustainably. Additionally, CENIT’s global presence and market strength offer us the security we need to continue serving our customers and employees successfully as Trusted Partner”.
Peter Schneck, CEO of CENIT AG, affirms the shared intentions: “The planned acquisition of the Dassault Systèmes business and the experts of Magic Engineering SRL is a perfect fit for our merger & acquisitions and growth strategy. It also reinforces our position as strategic partner of Dassault Systèmes, who supports this move. We look forward to welcoming our new colleagues to CENIT Group and to working together successfully for the benefit of our customers.”
The transaction is expected to be finalized at the end of Q3, 2022. CENIT is listed on the Prime Standard of Deutsche Börse and currently employs approx. 900 staff worldwide, serving clients from industries including automotive, aerospace, mechanical engineering, tool and mold construction, financial services as well as commerce and consumer goods. CENIT is represented at 29 business locations in nine counties around the globe.
